Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, in partnership with Hays, are looking to recruit a locum solicitor on a temporary basis. The local authority works to provide essential services for residents in Solihull.
Your new role
Solihull Council is looking for an experienced solicitor to work in the Adult Social Care division. You will undertake a variety of court-based litigation, legal policy and procedure work relating to Adult Social Care matters. This role is looking to start from the end of September 2024 until the beginning of January 2025. You will work to deal with Court of Protection Proceedings, ordinary residence, and the funding and charging for disputes. You will also handle advisory work relating to the Care Act 2014, Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts.
What you'll need to succeed
In this role, you will need:
- Legal qualifications (as a solicitor, barrister, or legal executive)
- Experience in Adult Social Care law
- Strong working knowledge of Court of Protection Proceedings
You will also need to provide 2 recent employment references. No DBS or driving checks will be required for this role.
